Tanja Goltnik

A psychologist, neuroscience PhD candidate and researcher in functional neurological disorders and neuropsychology. Tanja created the vision for Let Ideas Run and leads its strategy, storytelling and partnerships, translating complex science into an idea people can understand, feel and move behind.

Jana Verdnik

A psychologist, teaching assistant at the University of Ljubljana and PhD candidate researching cognitive psychology. Jana applies behavioural science and research methodology to participant engagement, measurement and the development of an evidence-informed platform.

Daša Gajšek

A psychologist and researcher in neurodegenerative diseases, currently completing her clinical psychology internship. Daša leads LIR’s social media, campaigns and community engagement, creating communication that brings people closer to science and turns attention into participation.

THE QUESTION

What if movement could move medical research?

Let Ideas Run began with one question: could something people already do every day create a new source of support for science?

THE STARTING LINE

It started before the startup.

LIR grew from two years of nonprofit work with patients, researchers and medical communities—and from seeing how many valuable research ideas remain underfunded.

THE TEAM

Three psychologists. One idea in motion.

We combined research, clinical insight, product development, storytelling, partnerships and community engagement to build something none of us could build alone.

FIRST FIELD TEST

The idea met its first community.

At a charitable endurance event, we tested whether an ambassador, a shared cause and collective movement could bring people closer to science.

BEYOND THE LAB

We started opening doors.

We brought LIR into conversations with innovation leaders, programmers, universities, researchers, venues, ambassadors and potential brand partners.

FIRST PODIUM

JURY AWARD WINNER SIA 2026

The idea gained momentum.

Let Ideas Run won the Social Impact Award Jury Prize 2026, confirming that the concept deserves to be tested in the real world.
